With over 70 years of combined experience, we have seen a lot of bodies.
Some are young, active, and fit, suffering from inappropriate training technique, or recovering from surgery. They need a quick recovery and guidance for further injury prevention.
At the other end of the spectrum are those aging adults who are fighting a decline in strength, stamina, balance, or just functional mobility and are just looking to maintain independence in normal daily activities.
In the middle is everyone else: those struggling with pain, weakness, postural imbalances, repetitive movement strains, and excessive weight.
After working in sports medicine, rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics, I founded Physical Therapy of Leicester in 2003. Back then me and my small staff of 3 provided 1-on-1 diagnostic & corrective treatments, along with strength & functional movement retraining for problems of all types.
Seven years later our treatment successes grew the demand for our services beyond our capacity. This is when the dream started.
The Dream: To build a one-of-a-kind fitness, aquatics, & wellness center, one that combined effective, evidence-based therapies AND a functional fitness center focused not just on functional fitness & movement training, but also education for life-long wellness. This center would staff experts in wellness treatments, manual therapies, therapeutic modalities, and functional movement / fitness, providing guidance for all ages and levels of fitness experience.
The Reality: A custom-designed, 6,700 sq. ft., green-built facility housing experts providing personalized therapy & guided exercise training, expert wellness treatments, & empowering, injury-preventing education for all fitness levels in a non-intimidating environment. In November of 2012 we began changing lives.
Our Mission: To provide highly skilled, personalized therapy, fitness, and wellness services with a holistic, whole body approach in a safe, motivational, and empowering environment.
Our Vision: Every person that engages with us, whether customer or employee, experiences, in some way, a positive change in their life.
Our Goal: To create a life-long, life-changing relationship with the member / client.
I am very proud of this facility and the incredible team of people we have.
